看完了这篇文章，我就把它应用到了生活中。记得有一次要考试，我就先复习几遍，到了考试那天，我把紧张与恐惧都抛到了九霄云外，用乐观的心态考试，没想到我竟然考了个不错的成绩。我在心里默默的想这可能是乐观的作用吧!从那以后，不管有什么事情我都会试着用冷观的心态去做事情，都会获得不同的收获。

这个故事让我想起英国伊莉莎白女皇，她与当时我们清末的慈禧是同一时代的，都是王朝的统治者。然而，同样面对国家种种困境，慈禧把我们的国家领向衰败，伊莉莎白却将她的国家领向繁荣，其实在我看来，那是她们人生的目标与态度不同，慈禧把追求个人享受作为她的人生目标，，国家利益与她皇权相比，她选择权利，所以当八国联军的铁骑闯进北京，她选择一走了之，弃国家、百姓利益不顾;而伊莉莎白则以国家强盛为人生目标，即使放弃手中统治权力也要以国家发展大业为重，也是在她的努力下，英国从此走上强盛之路。
