物竞天择，适者生存

当阳光抚摸大地的时候，小草冲破大石的阻挠，挺直自己嫩绿的身躯;当风暴袭击大海的时候，海燕划破阴霾的长空，高展自己强壮的翅臂。于是许多年前的达尔文说:“物竞天择，适者生存。”

对于地球上的每个生物体来说，生存是一种必需。而生存的必要条件，也是首要条件，即很好地适应我们周围的环境。这点对于我们人类来说，更是尤为重要。

首先，社会是人类活动的范围和基础，我们应该积极主动地去适应社会。如若使社会跟随“我”的意愿而改变，去花招百变地适应“我”，那么“我”便必然会成为自然淘汰规律中的一个试验品。当今社会，本科生、研究生甚至博士生被公司解雇的新闻屡见不鲜，原因大多是因为他们太自命清高，刚愎自用，没有很好地了解和适应市场机制体制以及公司机制，因而最终被淘汰出局。他们就是以“我”为中心的典型范例。即便是古代的帝王，也依旧要适应他所处的那个社会，否则更朝换代就是早晚的事。纵观历史，秦王嬴政用昙花一现的事实证明了，周幽王用笑柄式的结局收场了。但商鞅变法成功了，休养生息却安定了，改革开放却灿烂了。

作为社会的一分子，我们也应知道，各个行业都有一定的规则，而我们只有很好地适应才有可能很好的生存。治国者应懂得适应民情的需要，从医者应更懂得适应救死扶伤的迫切，为学者应懂得适应寒窗苦读的煎熬。所以周公“一饭三吐辅”，神龙氏尝百草以致断肠，匡胤“凿壁偷光”，或许他们也知道这道理，他们永久地存活在了人们的心里，千年不灭。由此得之:适应社会的必要，就是长久生存的密诀，适应社会就是长盛不衰，就是生存。

其次，作为个人而言，我们也要适应生活中的风风雨雨，这样你的脚下才可能有你站立的一席之地。生活中谁能保证没有大风小浪，磕磕碰碰?可多少人因为挫折而消沉，多少人因为因为失败而堕落，多少人因为绝望而轻生。而正是因为他们不适应他们所处的境遇，不适应生活，最终只能被生活所抛弃。

一位船长的女儿在高考出榜前一天服安眠药自杀，而第二天出榜的结果却与她自杀前没考好的想法恰恰相反。这个事例充分说明了一个人能否适应周围的环境及生活将很大程度上决定着他的生命。 然而，适应并不能等于牵强和从容。
