到爷爷家玩

放暑假的时候，妈妈带我到爷爷家玩。我来到爷爷种的菜园里，那里有各种各样的蔬菜，有披着白纱的冬瓜、油光发亮的茄子、又紫又红的辣椒，一个个挂在枝头上的灯笼是西红柿……看得我眼花缭乱。我最喜爱的蔬菜要属西红柿和南瓜了。

西红柿有的挂在枝头，好像在欣赏这个美丽的世界;有的躲在绿叶底下，好像小姑娘举着一把把伞在遮挡阳光。南瓜的叶子可不像其它叶子一样小，它的叶子四处伸展，像一把把小扇子。园子里有些蔬菜还没有成熟，有的还是一朵小花，引来了许多的蜜蜂和蝴蝶，有的还是小小的果实，有的已经熟透了。

我跟着爷爷拔了许多的菜，拿回家烧煮，妈妈烧了几个她的拿手菜:萝卜汤、西红柿炒鸡蛋……我爱吃爷爷种的蔬菜，我更爱勤劳能干的爷爷。

During the summer vacation, my mother took me to my grandpa's house to play. I came to the vegetable garden where my grandfather planted. There are various kinds of vegetables, such as winter melons covered with white gauze, shiny eggplants, purple and red peppers, and the lanterns hanging on the branches are tomatoes. ...I was dazzled by the sight. My favorite vegetables are tomatoes and pumpkins.

Some tomatoes are hung on the branches, as if they are admiring this beautiful world; some are hiding under the green leaves, as if a little girl is holding an umbrella to block the sun. The leaves of pumpkins are not as small as other leaves. Its leaves stretch around like small fans. Some vegetables in the garden are not yet ripe, some are still a small flower, attracting many bees and butterflies, some are still small fruits, and some are already ripe.

I followed my grandfather and pulled out a lot of dishes and took them home to cook. My mother cooked a few of her specialties: radish soup, scrambled eggs with tomatoes... I love the vegetables grown by my grandfather, and I love the hard-working and capable grandfather.
