在齐桓公成就一番辉煌大业的背后，孔子却道:“桓公九合诸侯不以兵车，管仲之力也。”足以见得管仲是那个时代中何等闪耀的一块金子。然而这块金子之前在别处发光效，忠于齐国的公子纠，为开创和平新纪元，当时的管仲做出了选择。
