斯宾塞的快乐教育

英国教育家赫·斯宾塞先生在《斯宾塞的快乐教育》一书中这样写到“无论是家庭教育还是学校教育,它在本质上除了知识传递,道德培养之外,就应该是对孩子权力的尊重。不明白这一点,任何苦心孤诣的教育都是会失败的。”


教师的天职在于育人,在于培育学生美好的心灵,因此教师有人类灵魂工程师的美称。教师除了具有渊博的学识以外,给予学生尊重是十分必要的。该如何做到尊重学生呢?我也是一名小学教师,我个人认为应从这几个方面来做。


一、倾听孩子的解释


每个人都有说话的权力,但并不是每一个人都得到过这种权力,特别是那些经常犯错误的孩子,当他受到批评、指责的时候,他们的解释和辩解常常被这样打断:“你不要辩解了,我不想再听你的任何解释。”当孩子们听到这些话时,本能的会产生一种委屈情绪,受委屈的人很少会反省自己的过错。鉴于此,在批评孩子之前,如果孩子要对自己的行为辩解时,我们应都认真的听完。如果当时非常愤怒或正在忙则将时间进行推移,说:“下课后去办公室或放学后来找我,我一定听完你的解释。”在孩子进行辩解后,我们一般会明白他行为的动机或本来的目的,这样再进行教育,可以有的放矢,孩子一般也更容易接受。有句话说得好:如果一个孩子生活在批评之中,他就学会了谴责;如果一个孩子生活在鼓励之中,他就学会了自信;如果一个孩子生活在讽刺之中,他就学会了害羞;如果一个孩子生活在认可之中,他就学会了自爱。给孩子辩解的机会看起来是很小的问题,但孩子一旦明白了无论何时我们都应该尊重别人说话的权力,他也会同样对待其他人。


二、给孩子机会


每一个孩子都希望得到老师的信任和喜欢,特别是低年级的孩子把能否当班长,拿班级钥匙这些事情看得非常重要。在每学期开始的时候,班主任应该在班里宣布这样的规定:每位同学都是班级的主人,管理班级是每个同学的义务,在本学期每人最少负责管理班级一天,即值日班长。一般情况下给班里的学生编上序号,按照排好顺序,每日轮流做值日班长。这样做的目的,就是不使一部分孩子因为得不到老师的重视而感到失落,从而失去学习的兴趣。


三、欣赏孩子


教师与学生之间的关系就象照镜子一样,你对他笑,他就对你笑;你对他怒,他就对你怒;你对他冷淡,他就对你冷淡。有所不同的是:你若对他微笑,他可能对你大笑;你对他冷嘲,他可能对你抵触。而后,你再对他笑,他也有可能无动于衷。因此不仅要爱学生,更要用对的方式去表达我们的爱。在对待犯错误的学生时,曾走过一段费力不讨好的道路,对于学生的错误,我们非得揪出来,从不轻易放过。比如,在对待学生不交作业的问题上,我们总会揪着不放,轻的让他把作业补完,重的甚至会在班上当着同学们狠狠的批评,甚至放学后不让他们回家,必须将作业补完才能回去。这此强硬措施开始的确有作用,但时间一长,学生又会犯同样的问题。看了《斯宾斯的快乐》后,知道了要从学生的角度出发,考虑为什么会有这样的情况,是作业量大了,还是学习习惯问题,还是学生因为有什么特殊的原因没有完成。有了这种心态后,与学生进行沟通,先侧面了解学生的家庭情况,看看是不是有什么特殊原因,然后再与家长进行联系,了解孩子在家里的情况,明白学生没有写作业的原因,最后让学生自己先做解释,看看与了解的情况是否相符,最后根据学生本身的问题,就事论事,和他一起订一个计划,请他信任的同学和老师一起监督,以此来强化他好的行为,渐渐改掉不良的习惯。这样,学生原来被动地由教师管理教育而变为自我管理教育了,而且表现得相当主动积极。教师只是起一个引导作用,教育效果却大大提高了。

There is a saying: if a child lives in criticism, he learns to condemn; if a child lives in encouragement, he learns to be confident; if a child lives in sarcasm, he learns to be shy ; If a child lives in recognition, he learns to love himself. It may seem like a small problem to give a child the opportunity to argue, but once the child understands that we should respect the right of others to speak at all times, he will treat other people in the same way.


2. Give your child a chance


Every child hopes to be trusted and liked by the teacher, especially the children in the lower grades are very important about whether they can be the class leader and the key to the class. At the beginning of each semester, the head teacher should announce such regulations in the class: Every student is the owner of the class, and it is the duty of each student to manage the class. In this semester, everyone is responsible for managing the class for at least one day, that is, the supervisor on duty. . Under normal circumstances, serial numbers are assigned to the students in the class, and they will take turns as the monitor on duty every day. The purpose of this is not to make some children feel disappointed because they do not get the attention of the teacher, and thus lose their interest in learning.


Three, appreciate children


The relationship between teachers and students is like looking in a mirror. We have to find out the mistakes of students and never let them go easily. For example, when dealing with the problem of students not handing in their homework, we always hold on to them, let him finish the homework lightly, and even severely criticize them in front of the classmates in the class, and even deny them after school. When you go home, you must finish your homework before you can go back. These tough measures are indeed effective at first, but over time, students will have the same problem again. After reading "Spins' Happiness", I learned that we should start from the perspective of the students and consider why there is such a situation, whether it is due to a large amount of homework, or a problem with study habits, or because the student has not completed it due to some special reasons. With this mentality, communicate with the students, first understand the student’s family situation, see if there are any special reasons, and then contact the parents to understand the child’s situation at home, and understand the reason why the student did not write homework Finally, let the students explain themselves first to see if they are consistent with the situation they understand. Finally, according to the students’ own problems, discuss the matter and make a plan with him, and ask his trusted classmates and teachers to supervise together, so as to strengthen him. Gradually get rid of bad habits. In this way, students originally passively changed from teacher management education to self-management education, and they behaved quite proactively. Teachers only play a guiding role, but the effect of education has been greatly improved.
