面子 人活一张脸，树活一张皮

常言说：“人活一张脸，树活一张皮。”很明显，中国人大都是十分爱面子的，有时候也许会因为脸面而倾尽所有。不过，脸面就真的那么重要吗？我看不一定吧！

一身名牌衣服可能会让你顿时觉得在朋友中很有“面子”，但这种面子，却可能需要你一个月的生活费。一个美丽的彩妆，可能会让你觉得漂亮有“面子”，但也许会让你的皮肤承受太多的化学物质。一辆名牌跑车可能会让你觉得有“面子”，却可能需要你背上几年的贷款。其实，这类所谓的“面子”本质上就是虚荣心罢了。因此，我们绝不能被这类的“面子”左右，背上沉重的负担。

居里夫人，著名的物理学家，化学家，作为第一位诺贝尔奖得主的她，在成名后依然朴素简约。一次有位记者去采访她。那位记者来到居里夫人的住所，看到一个头发随意扎着，衣服穿着如同农家妇人的女人坐在门口，就上前询问居里夫人是否住在这里。没想到，她说：“我就是。请问您找我有什么事吗？”那位记者惊讶地张大了嘴巴。她怎么都想不到大名鼎鼎的居里夫人居然是这样一身打扮。
